Free wedding planning apps

Last updated 4 September 2026

Couples searching for free wedding planning apps are usually trying to avoid a second subscription on top of the wedding itself. This page says what “free” should cover, where the catch usually sits, and how Wedding Helper is built.

What free should include

A free wedding planning app for couples should not stop at a thin checklist. The work of a wedding is the guest list, the money, the seating, the suppliers and the decisions you make together — and those pieces have to stay true when one of them changes.

  • Both partners on the same wedding, with no “owner” and no read-only seat.
  • No guest-list ceiling that forces an upgrade the week replies arrive.
  • Budget, seating and Wedding Team available without a premium tier.
  • A clear commercial model that does not sell couple behaviour to suppliers.

Where free wedding planning apps usually charge

Many wedding planning apps advertise free entry, then put a price on the parts you need most: a longer guest list, the seating chart, exporting for the venue, or planning with your partner on the same record. That is a product choice. It is not inevitable.

Wedding Helper’s commercial model sits on the supplier side. Couples do not pay for planning tools. Suppliers pay to be part of the marketplace when it opens. That is the catch we chose — and the one couples are not asked to fund.

How Wedding Helper fits

Wedding Helper is a free wedding planning app for iPhone, Android and web. One live wedding across devices: checklist and next steps, budget and payments, guests and RSVPs, seating, Wedding Team, community and Ask Wedding Helper.

It is not public yet. The waiting list is open; you get one email when it launches. Until then, the home page shows the real interface with a made-up sample wedding — not mockups of a different product.

Read the full product overview on the Wedding Helper home page, or the companion guide on wedding planning apps.

A straight answer

If you need a free wedding planning app that keeps the whole wedding connected and does not meter partners or guests, Wedding Helper is being built for that. Join the waiting list if you want to hear when it opens — nothing else follows from that email.
